Why Do I Do It in Dumont?

When I was young, I hurt my back and went to a chiropractor for help.  Later, I went to chiropractic college because I thought being a doctor would be a good career.  Also, I hoped to make a good living.  More than 30 years later, I have learned a few things.  First, this job is much harder than I expected.  Second, there are easier ways in the world to make a living.  Third and most importantly, I also learned the reasons chiropractic was the perfect choice for me.

When a patient came in with back pain and told me that she can no longer play with her kids, I truly sympathized.  I am a dad and know how precious time is with your child.   A month later, when I saw her running with her children at a local playground, I watched and felt part of the joy she was experiencing.  When someone who suffered 3 or 4 migraines a week happily told me that for the first time in several years they had been free of headaches for 2 weeks, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

A few years ago, the husband of a patient stopped me while I was out at a local community fair.  Prior to coming to me, his wife had been in pain for a long time and it was affecting their relationship.  He said he wanted to thank me for giving his wife back to him and his daughter.  Knowing how I contributed to them almost brought me to tears.

Over my years in practice, there have been hundreds of patients who have had life changing experiences.  People who have come to me with conditions like sciatica, neck pain, back pain and other disabilities or illnesses, have all recovered.  Many have avoided taking harmful medications or having dangerous surgeries by instead choosing The Back Care Center for chiropractic care.

My reasons for being a chiropractor have changed since I first started school.  Now every life I have touched and changed is a reason for me to be happy.  My life changes with my patients' successes.
